I have been married to Maura since 1966. We have two sons Peter and Paul. We are also blessed with two healthy grandchildren. I have been fortunate to have had continuous employment from 1953 until my retirement in 1998—as Finance Director of a local manufacturing outfit.

What does Lough Derg mean to you?
I had not been to Lough Derg until, in 1985, a close friend invited me to go with him.
Fortunately, I agreed and, with our wives became regulars. (sadly my friend died in 2007. May he rest in peace.) The pilgrimage has a special attraction for me - the isolation - the tranquillity – the services including the music – the friendship of staff and fellow Pilgrims – the inner Peace – the feeling of well-being and achievement.
Where else can one get detoxified in Body, Mind, and especially Soul.
